There are many ways to show devotion.
Part of showing love and devotion to a God or Goddess is working on bettering self. Sigyn lends Herself beautifully to this as She is a Goddess intimately devoted to emotions, character, and fidelity. Meditation can put one in touch with one's innermost being, can open one up to that willful vulnerability which can allow self illumination.
Here are a few simple meditational devotions to Sigyn. This is an easy process, no need to be too constructed. Light a candle, give Her an offering. I like to light incense also- I make my own. She does like floral smells and sandalwood. Don't use amber.
Just relax in front of the candle. Say a few words of honor to Her. Many people like scripts, for this I'm not giving you one. Be casual, respectful- relax. Say what you feel. Doesn't need to be much.
Take a few breaths and ask for Her guidance. With Her in mind, focus on one of the following concepts:
* Joy is setting aside pain and life's hardships for a time and becoming as a child again.
* Sacrifice and patience are sometimes the true names of love.
* Sigyn knows joy because She knows love with childlike abandon.
* Without self worth one cannot have authenticity or passion.
* Grief isn't something to fight against nor to wallow in. It is something to be endured and reconciled.
* Sigyn chose to remain in fidelity to the God who exposes hard truths and demands bravery in the face of wyrd.
* Emotional connections: Consider something that is emotionally difficult but you know to be good for you. Sew together the deeds and the feelings, stitch away the disconnect. Conversely, consider harmful things that give you joy or pleasure. What binds those together? Remove the stitching.
